In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Susan Miskell and husband Bert of Frederick, son Michael Ahalt and wife Cynthia of Jefferson and daughter Julie Roberson and husband Keith of Myersville; five grand-children Bert Miskell, III and wife Dawn, Corey Roberson, Kraig Ahalt, Casey Roberson and Jackie Ahalt as well as two great-grand-children Riley and Braden Miskell. George is also survived by brother Norman Ahalt, Sr of Frederick and sister Virginia Sullivan of Maple Grove, MN; many nieces and nephews and special friend Jimmy Rippeon. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Raymond Ahalt, Catherine Sharrer, Jim Ahalt, Pearl Pennington, Alberta Hill and Ruby Blevins.
The family will recieve friends on Sunday, September 7th from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 8 at 11:00 AM in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Frederick County, P.O. Box 1799, Frederick, MD 21702. Arrangements are by Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, Frederick.
