Waitman McKinney, 85, of Kearneysville, WV died Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Willow Tree Manor, Charles Town, WV. He was born May 24, 1929 in Sutton, WV. He was the son of William R. McKinney and Maggie Cantrell McKinney. Mr. McKinney worked for 25 years in the Construction Industry in the Alexandria, Virginia and Rockville, Maryland Areas. He was a Christian He is survived by his three sons, Jeffrey McKinney and Kathy, Kearneysville, WV, Waitman “Butch” McKinney, Jr. and Tammy, Kearneysville, WV, Steve McKinney, Kearneysville, WV; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Ethel B. Engle, Berkeley Springs, WV; brothers, Donald McKinney, Sandy Hook, MD and Hubbard McKinney, Braxton County, WV. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Minerva M. McKinney who died Sept. 12, 2003; sister, Anna M. McKinney; three brothers, Emory McKinney, Okey McKinney and Russell McKinney. A Crypt Side Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2014 at Rosedale Cemetery, Martinsburg, WV with Chaplain Doug Knupp officiating. There will be no visitation Arrangements by Melvin T.
