Mourning his untimely death are his wife, Marie, and the following children: Mrs. Milo Ellingson of Essig; Mrs. Carl Lien of Hoff; Noel Dokken of Benson and Marvin on the home farm; and seven grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Clara Aaberg of Benson and one brother, Emil Dokken of Barsness township.
