Paul F. McCollim, 79, of Kittanning RD2, died Sunday, Aug. 20, 1995 at the Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, East Franklin Township. He was born March 3, 1916 in Craigsville to Frank and Carrie (Gaiser) McCollim. Mr. McCollim was retired since 1978 from PPG Industries. He was a member of the Union Avenue Methodist Church, where he was a member of the choir and was a former Sunday school superintendent. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during World War II, where he was a private. He was a member of the Kittanning-East Brady Masonic Lodge 244; and the Coudersport Consistory. He was a former Boy Scout Leader. He is survived by his wife, Nellie (Roofner) McCollim, whom he married on May 11, 1940; three sons, Fred McCollim of Elgin, Ill., Raymond McCollim of Mt. Prospect, Ill, and Donald McCollim of Coral Springs, Fla; one daughter, Doris Painter of West Kittanning; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mildred Noel of Meadville. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Frank McCollim; and one grandson. MCCOLLIM - Friends of Paul F. McCollim, 79, of Kittanning RD2, who died Aug. 20, 1995, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, where a Masonic service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, A Forethought Member, 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning. Additional visitation will be held at 10 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Union Avenue Methodist Church, Kittanning, with his pastor, the Rev. Paul Walter, officiating. Interment will take place in St. Mark's Lutheran Cemetery, Adrian RD1. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation. Arrangements by Snyder-Crissman.
