JOHN GALINDOSKY
John Galindosky, 42, husband of Irma Stofko Galindosky of House 230, Crucible was killed at 9 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17, 1955, in a coal mine accident at Crubile Mine.
Born Oct. 28, 1913, he was the son of William and Elizabeth Kabulic Galindosky and has lived 38 years in Crucible.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is also survived by three children, John, Jr.; Judith Ann and Richard, all at home.
Others surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Stanley Galindosky, with the U.S. Army at Ft. Knox, Ky.; Mrs. Carl (Sophie) Kukal of Crafton; Mrs. Ralph (Jane) Cullen of Jefferson and Mrs. Andrew N. Brenzudich of Fredericktown.
He was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church of Crucible and the following organizations. Treasurer of UMWA Local 4731 at Crucible, Holy Name Society of Crucible, Citizens Club of Crucible, Slavonic Club of Crucible, Polish Club of Footdale and the Volunteer Fire Dept. of Crucible.
Friends will be received at the family residence after 4 p.m. today where short prayer services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday Feb. 22 followed by Requiem Mass in the St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church at Crucible at 9 a.m. with Rev. John Hraska as celebrant. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Yoney Funeral Home of Masontown is in charge of arrangements.
