Joe Sandoval, 84, passed away June 20, 2005 in Colorado Springs. Joe was born on August 17, 1920 in Wagon Mound, New Mexico to Jose and Asencion (Vigil) Sandoval. Joe's father passed away six weeks prior to Joe's birth. Following Joe's birth, his mother moved the family comprised of seven sisters and one baby boy to Greeley, CO seeking employment. Joe began working in the sugar beet fields at a young age to help support the family. As an adult, Joe was employed as a carpenters' helper for many years for various construction companies. On February 20, 1970 Joe was married to Hazel Mae Baker. Joe was a talented guitarist and enjoyed playing the guitar and singing in church. Joe is survived by his wife, Hazel. Services will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2005, 10:00 a.m. at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade. Interment will be at Akron Cemetery, Akron, Colorado. Swan Law Funeral Directors
