HELEN KEELE BLACK

Survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Karen and Lloyd Howell, Kellene and Bud Mosconi, and son and daughter-in-law Dennis and Diane Black. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death in December, 2003 by her husband Kelly. Loving and devoted companions of 61 years, their joys included parties and holidays with good friends and family and their beloved Lake Tahoe.Born in Caliente, NV, she grew up in McGill. She attended business college in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she and Kelly met. Among other common interests, they shared a love of big band music and danced their way into each other's hearts at Salt Air on the shore of the Great Salt Lake. They married in 1942 and soon moved to Sparks where they started a family. They quickly gathered a large circle of friends. She was the consummate hostess who loved filling her home with the warmth and laughter of those friends. She played piano for her Church and created some beautiful needlework as one of her hobbies. She was an exceptional woman and an exceptional wife. She was devoted to her family and her children could not have wished for a better mother. She will be missed more than words can say. We will keep loving you.
She will be interred during a private service in Verdi.
