FUNERAL OF MRS. ANNA THOMPSON WAS HELD LAST MONDAY

From the Norwegian Lutheran Church – Decedent was Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Iver Anderson, of Owatonna

Lysne, November 17 – The funeral of the late Mrs. Anna O. Thompson, whose death occurred at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Iver Anderson in Owatonna last Friday, took place from the Norwegian Lutheran church south of Anderson station, last Monday afternoon at 3 o’clock. Rev. A.W. Lund, of Owatonna, conducted the services. He was assisted by Prof. A. Helland, of the Augsburg Seminary, Minneapolis. The interment was made in the cemetery nearby. The late Mrs. Thompson’s maiden name was Anna P. Anderson. She was born in Aurora township, September 26, 1871. She grew to womanhood and in October, 1892, she was married to Simon Thompson. They first settled on a farm in Havana township and after a year and a half moved to Owatonna, thence to Minneapolis. For some time Mrs. Thompson has made her home with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Iver Anderson. She suffered from tuberculosis, being ill over a year and three months. The decedent is survived by two children, Alvina, age 17 years, and Arthur, age 15 years, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Iver Anderson, and sisters, Martha and Ida, of Owatonna, and Mrs. A. Helland, of Minneapolis.
