Sister Jeanne Irene taught primary grades at Saint John the Baptist in Manchester and Holy Rosary School in Gardner, Mass., as well as schools in Holyoke, Mass.; Chicopee, Mass.; Linwood, Mass. and Northampton, Mass. She left teaching to care for the retired sisters at the Saint Claire Residence, which she did for more than 30 years.
