Our beloved brother, son, and friend Stephen Kay Beers, 54, of Midvale passed away on February 15, 1997, at LDS Hospital after a lingering illness.
He was born in Provo on July 15, 1942, to Elmo L and Dorothy K Beers. His father preceded him in death.

He married Karen Nelson and they were later divorced.

Steve had a long, hard struggle for the past five years and he went through it without complaining, appreciating all those who helped him.

Steve graduated from Pleasant Grove High School. He served a mission to the New England States. He attended college at BYU and Mesa Community College.

Steve will be remembered for his great sense of humor, his love of people, and spending much of his time on the golf course. He will be greatly missed by all.

He is survived by his mother of Provo; four brothers and one sister: Jim (Carol) Beers, Sandy; Thomas Beers, Santa Barbara; Robert (Barbara) Beers, Orem; Roy (Jenlyn) Beers Lidon; and Sallie (Val) Sheilds Scottsdale Arizona; also many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 19, 1997, at 11 am in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel, 500 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm at the mortuary and on Wednesday one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.

Special thanks to Stephen's friends Larry Harris, Harold Bullock, and Bob Hunter for all their help over the past several years.
