Elmo "Doc" Lester Beers, 69, Salt Lake City, died in a Salt Lake hospital March 21,1976, of causes pending examination by the state medical examiner.

Born Jan. 10, 1907, Vernal, James Warren and Emma Freestone Beers. Married Grace Nielsen 1931; divorced. Married Dorothy Kirkwood April 26, 1938, Farmington; divorced. Member LDS Church.

Survivors: sons, daughter, Paul Lewis, Bountiful; Thomas Merrill, Sacramento, Calif.; Stephen K., Holladay; Robert Don, Sandy; LeRoy E., Orem; James L.. Mrs. Val (Sallie) Shields, both Woods Cross; 9 grandchildren; brothers, sister, Charles, Kenneth, both West Jordan; Leland, Mrs. Francis (June) Salisbury, both Pleasant Grove.

Graveside service Wednesday 2 p.m. Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Friends call at Olpin Family Mortuary, Pleasant Grove, Wednesday 12:30 p.m. services.

SALT LAKE CITY - Graveside services for Elmo "Doc" Lester Beers, 69, of Salt Lake City, who died Sunday, March 21, 1976 in a Salt Lake City hospital, will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.

Friends may call at Olpin Mortuary in Pleasant Grove Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. until time of services. Mr. Beers was the relative of three Utah County residents.

Mr. Beers was born Jan. 10, 1907 in Vernal, a son of James Warren and Emma Freestone Beers. He married Grace Nielsen in 1931 and they were divorced. He married Dorothy Kirkwood on April 26, 1938 in Farmington, and they were divorced. He was a member of the LDS Church.

Survivors include six sons and one daughter, LeRoy E. Beers, Orem; Paul Lewis Beers, Bountiful; Thomas Merrill Beers, Sacramento, Calif.; Stephen K. Beers, Holladay; Robert Don Beers, Sandy; Mrs. Val (Sallie) Shields and James L. Beers, both of Woods Cross, Davis County; nine grandchildren; three brothers and one sister, Mrs. Francis (June) Salisbury and Leland Beers, both of Pleasant Grove; Charles Beers and Kenneth Beers, both of West Jordan.
