GAMBLE
Rosalie J. Gamble, 75, of Versailles and formerly of Van Wert, died at 5:10 a.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2003, at Versailles Health Care Center.
She was born November 17, 1927, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late Harry E. and Dora O. (Whitcraft) Adams. On April 7, 1947, she married Richard M. Gamble, who died October 24, 1992.
Mrs. Gamble retired as assistant vice president for Peoples Bank & Trust in Van Wert. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Van Wert and the Women's Circle of the church, the Van Wert Woman's Club and American Legion Post 178 Auxiliary.
Survivors include two sons, Dana (Cassie) Gamble of Chillicothe and Gary (Candy) Gamble of Greenville; one brother, Harry (Pat) Adams of Three Rivers, Mich.; six grandchildren, Justin, Taryn, Adam and Michelle Gamble, and Krystal and April Kreitzer, and a great-grandchild, Maddie Gamble.
She was preceded in death by three brothers.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert, the Rev. Joe Wilck officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.
Calling hours are 12:30 p.m. Thursday until time of services at the funeral home.
Memorials may be donated on behalf of Mrs. Gamble to the church.
