Robert Lee Waterfield, 85, 217 Union, died at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Villa de Silva Nursing Home where he had been for the past four weeks.
He was born in Salisbury, Nov. 18, 1892, son of Flemon and Annie Elizabeth Hurt Waterfield.
He had lived in Moberly most of his life. He was a retired conductor with the Wabash, now the Norfolk and Western. Mr. Waterfield was a member of the First Baptist Church, and Moberly Masonic Lodge 344 AF&AM, Royal Arch Chapter 79, Tancred Commandery 25, all of Moberly, Centralia Council 34, Ararat Shrien Shrine of Kansas City and Coon Creek Shrine, Moberly.
He also belonged to the Eastern Star 150 at Moberly and Israel White Shrine No. 11.
Surviving are the wife, Clara; of the home; brother Everett, North Kansas City; stepson, Paul Fiske, San Diego and two step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a wife, Hazel, in 1964; daughter, Marjorie; and a brother, Earl.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Cater Funeral Home, with Rev. Larry Thomas and Dr. Joseph P. Grant officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Visitation will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Masonic services will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday by the Moberly Masonic Lodge.
