She was employed in the office of the City Clerk. Early in life she became a member of the Presbyterian Church and taught for some time in its Sunday School.
Lena spent the years following her marriage on a farm west of Wabash. She maintained interest in world events, good music and literature and in church. She was active for a number of years in parent-teacher work and in the Glen Bible Society.
Lena was married on November 4, 1903 in a lovely home wedding to James Edwin Ford, son of William Wallace and Elizabeth (McClure) Ford of Richvalley, Indiana. They had four daughters: Mary Louise (1904), Edith Elizabeth (1909), Pauline Keller (1914) and Henrietta (1917) Ford; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Lena's husband, James Edwin Ford, was the grandson of William Johnson and Mary (McGee) Ford of Wabash (he the brother of Dr. James Ford).
Died at age 79 years, 8 months, 7 days.
