BRENTON - Douglas Arthur Conley, 51, died Monday, Nov. 29, 1993 at Gilbert, WV.
Born Jan. 14, 1942, at Baileysville, WV he was a son of the late Sterling Silver Conley and Iva M. Cline Conley.
Mr. Conley was a lifelong resident of Wyoming County and had served as a SP4 in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert C. Conley and his maternal grandmother, Maggie Cline.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Deborah Shields Conley; a daughter, Theresa Bishop of Roanoke, Va.: a brother, John W. Conley of Clear Fork, and two grandchildren, Dewayne and Todd Bishop, both of Roanoke.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, 1993 at the Clear Fork Independent Church of God with Rev. Hannibal Blankenship Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Shannon Cemetery, Baileysville.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the Evans Memorial Chapel and one hour prior to the services at the church.
Friends and cousins will serve as pallbearers.
