Born in McAlester, he was the son of Paul Tedmar and Edwina (Bradley) Million. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1942 and served in the 405th Infantry Regiment of the 102nd Infantry Division in the European Theatre during World War II. He was awarded the Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Cluster, the Purple Heart and the Combat Infantryman's Badge. He married JaNell Clemens Smallwood on Oct. 26, 1956, in McAlester. He served as President of Million Ford-Mercury until selling the agency in 1997 after 50 years of operation. His business and civic involvements include 38 years on the Board of Directors of the National Bank of McAlester, President of Doss Oil Royalty Company, past Chairman of Mid-South Industrial Trust, Chairman of the McAlester Planning Commission, one of three original members of the Oklahoma Motor Vehicle Commission, past Chairman of the McAlester Aviation Advisory Board and also served on the Board of the Oklahoma Auto Dealers Association. His civic activities also included membership in the Harrison-Powers Post No. 79 American Legion and the McAlester Lions Club, a past President of the McAlester Country Club and member of the First Presbyterian Churchof McAlester. He has the unique distinction of being the third generation 33rd Degree Inspector General Honorary in the Million family, following his grandfather E.C. Million 33rd Degree, and his father Paul T. Million Sr., 33rd Degree. He served in the Treasurer Office from 1949 until 1982 and served in the same office as Treasurer until assuming other responsibilities in the Valley. He is a member of the South McAlester Lodge No. 96 and the North McAlester Lodge No. 550. He received the Scottish Rite Degrees in 1949 and invested with the rank and decoration of Knight Commander of the Court of Honour in 1965, and coroneted an Inspector General Honorary of the 33rd Degree in 1979. He served as Venerable Master of McAlester Lodge of Perfection in 1978 and Treasurer of the Bodies in 1983. He was serving as Treasurer when Sovereign Grand Inspector General Frederick A. Daugherty appointed him as Chairman of the Inspector Generals Advisory Conference and in 1987 was appointed, and was the Sovereign Grand Inspector General of the State of Oklahoma and the Grand Chamberlain of the Supreme Council and was on the Finance Committee.He was a member of the York Rite Bodies of McAlester, a Companion Knight of York in the Oklahoma York Rite College No. 75, St. Luke Conclave, Red Cross of Constantine, Bedouin and India Shrine Temples, Royal Order of Jesters Court 99, Knight Commander of the Temple, Grand Encampment of Knight Templar, Order of the Purple Cross, York Rite Sovereign College of North American and holder of the Legion of Gibirm Order of DeMolay. A resident of McAlester, he died at his home at the age of 75. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elmer Clark and Winnie Mae Million; his parents; a grandson, Michael Christian Verebelyi; a sister, Mary Ann Million Luff and a sister-in-law, Barbara Walker Million.
