Mr. McRoy was born Feb. 27, 1898, in Walpole, Ill. He had been employed at Whirlpool Corporation for 17 years before his retirement in 1965.
Surviving are his widow, the former Gertrude Naumann Sobieski, whom he married on July 3, 1948; two daughters, one of McCrory, Ark., and one of Kyoto, Japan; a son of Newberry Park, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; three brothers, Newt of Sikeston, MO., Cecil of St. Louis, MO., and Othal of Mack Creek, MO., four sisters, Mrs. Paul (Mamie) King of Clearwater, MO., Mrs. Wesley (Lorene) Higgerson of New Madrid, MO., Mrs. Randy (Pearline) Ferrell of Morehouse, MO., and Mrs. Virginia Pufer of St. Louis, MO.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Florin Funeral Home. Rev. James Walsh, pastor of the Gibson City Bible Church, Gibson City, Ill., will officiate, burial will be in North Shore Memorial Gardens.
