It has pleased the Lord of life and death to summon out of this vale of tears to Himself in Heaven the soul of McKelvia Mae (Mickey) Neumann. McKelvia (Bailey) Neumann, age 96, of Albuquerque, NM (formerly of Garden City and Greensburg, KS) went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, August 19, 2014 in Albuquerque, NM. McKelvia was a member of the Methodist Church. Visitation will be at Fleener Funeral Home in Greensburg, KS on Saturday, August 23, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Fairview Cemetery in Greenburg. McKelvia is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Elmer and Haytchen Neumann of Albuquerque and daughter-in-law, Linda Neumann of Albuquerque, four grandchildren, Joyce Cooper, Neil Neumann, Wayne Neumann and Debbie Lopez, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, brother, Frank Bailey of Lewis, KS, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. McKelvia was preceded in death by her husband, Max, parents, Frank and Blanche Bailey, two sons, Jerry Neumann and Dennis Neumann, daughter-in-law, Norma Neumann, brothers, John, Oscar, William, Floyd, Claude, Ivan, and Oren and sisters, Delphia Evans, Katherine Evans and Marguerite Spence. Mickey was born May 21, 1918 in Coldwater, KS to the late Frank and Blanche (Lawson) Bailey. Mickey married Max Neumann, of Greensburg, on January 15, 1939. They made their home in Lewis, Lyons, Greensburg, and Garden City. Mickey worked at various places of employment in Greensburg. Mickey enjoyed traveling, crafting, quilting, gardening, cooking and most importantly spending time with family and friends. Casket bearers will be Mike Bailey, Kevin Bailey, Steve Bailey, Bob Kilgore, Jack Bailey and Neil Neumann. Memorials may be made to Presbyterian Hospice and Patient Unit, 8300 Constitution Ave. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110 in lieu of flowers.
