Archibald Theodore Gibson who was known as "Frank", was born in Cortez, Montezuma County, Colorado on 24 August 1887. His parents were Archibald Theodore Gibson and Wilhelmina "Mina" E. (Gephart), Gibson. Per the 1910 US Census he was still in Cortez with his parents.

On 30 May 1909 in Monte Vista, Rio Grande County, Colorado he married Bird Mickey, daughter of David Mickey and Avis (Frisby), Mickey. They soon had their daughter Alice Pauline while still living in the Gunnison, Colorado area.

Per family tradition, Frank and his siblings of whom many had confusing family nicknames when searching records, then moved west following railroad and mining jobs. Frank and wife Bird are soon found in 1914 and 1916 City Directories for Kootenai, Bonner County, Idaho.

The 1920 US Census finds them with daughter Alice listed in his household and living in Leavenworth, Washington where later his mother and father would be buried in Leavenworth's North Road Cemetery.

In 1922 he is found listed in Wenatchee, WA City Directories.

It would appear that by about 1923 and at the age of roughly 36 years, he had moved his wife and child to the City of Spokane, WA. where they are found listed in the Spokane City Directory living at 1814 E. Courtland.

In 1925 he and Bird purchased their final home together at 2410 E. Sanson Ave. in Spokane where he would still be living at the time of his death. Living descendants confirm that address and well recall the home.

In all the later records his occupation was found to be listed as a brakeman and conductor. He worked for the Northern Pacific Railroad and possibly even the Great Northern out of Spokane and per family lore ran a route between Spokane and Paradise, Montana in his later years before retirement. There are online Northern Pacific Employee Records that list information about Frank and one found states that he was in their employ from 1936 to 1953 when he retired.

Frank suffered a fatal heart attack and died in Spokane. He was laid to rest at Fairmount Memorial Park in Spokane and decades later his wife Bird was laid to rest beside him.
