James was the son of the late Mayden Andrew and Gertrude Anderson Hogsed born May 23, 1935 in Hayesville, N.C.
He served as Military Police with the U.S. Army 1954-1956. He was a member of Kentucky Masonic Lodge 707. Mr. Hogsed was a retired Operations Supervisor at TVA Widows Creek Steamplant where he had worked 33 years.
Survivors include: his wife of 56 years, Vella May Arwood Hogsed; sons, Ricky (Ladye) Hogsed, Mickey Hogsed; daughters, Vicki Hogsed Jacobs (Tim Nunley), Stephanie Hogsed (Cam) Hutcherson; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Military Honors and Interment will be at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, Tenn.
