She was born on Sunday, November 5, 1922 in Clay County, North Carolina. Willette was the oldest of seven children. She retired from Clifton Precision in 1990. She was a member of Truett Memorial First Baptist Church and attended McConnell Memorial Baptist Church in Hiawassee.
She was a wonderful Christian mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and cherished her family. A great cook, her meals were enjoyed by many, and her specialty Coconut Pound cake was always generously shared with friends and neighbors.
She was the daughter of the late Mayden and Gertrude Anderson Hogsed. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Loretta Hogsed Moss; four brothers, James, Eugene, Ray, and Jack Hogsed; a grandson, John Keith Franklin; and a sister-in-law, Wanda Moss Hogsed.
Interment will be in Bethabara Baptist Church Cemetery.
