She was born on July 16, 1941 in Commiskey, Indiana, the daughter of John and Dorothy Juett Artz. She married her husband of 51 years, Wolf Wolfensberger, on February 13, 1960; he preceded her in death on February 27, 2011. She lived in Syracuse, New York since 1972 after residing for a number of years in Omaha, Nebraska, and Toronto, Canada.
Nancy was devoted to her family and loved to cook, entertain, travel, garden and sing in the All Saints Church gospel choir. She divided her time in recent years between Syracuse, New York and her family farm in Commiskey, IN. For several years she served on the Board of Visitors of the Syracuse Developmental Center. Nancy was a 1959 Graduate of Paris Crossing High School and attended Indiana University.
She is survived by her daughters Margaret (Tim) Sager of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Joan (Kurt) Lloyd of Chicago, Illinois; son Paul (Patrice) Wolfensberger of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren Tate, Jennifer and Hadley Sager; as well as her sister Betty (Gerald) Manning and her family.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 18, 2014 at the Tea Creek Baptist Church in Jennings County, Indiana with Rev. Judith Malone and Rev. Ben Morris officiating. Burial will be at the German Cemetery in Commiskey, Indiana.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the German Cemetery.
