Vanice dedicated her entire life to the service of her family, friends, church, and community. She often counseled, "The time to do something for someone is when they need it done, not when you feel like doing it." She exemplified this admonition in her life and was always compassionate and caring.
As a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, she served in various positions including ward and stake Relief Society President. She and her husband served a full-time mission in the Columbia South Carolina mission.
She will always be remembered for her love of music, her beautiful quilts, her crocheted afghans and booties, and her delicious roast beef Sunday dinners with homemade rolls.
Vanice has had attentive, loving care from her husband of 65 years, from her family, her friends, and especially from Janet Towers.
She is survived by her husband, children, sister (Merlene Smith, Mesa, AZ), and many brothers and sisters-in-law.
