She was born February 1, 1917 and grew up in the Lebanon Community. She married J.E. Meek. They raised their children in the Sardis-Scotts Hill area. .
Mrs. Meeks later moved to Lexington and retired from Brown Shoe Co. Mrs. Meeks was an avid genealogist contributing to the History of Henderson County. She was a devoted naturist, loving all things great and small. She will always be remembered for her smile and the twinkle in her eyes. .
She is survived by her children, Bobby Meek (Pat) of Munford, Jeanette Cain of Jackson, Nancy Dunavant of Scotts Hill, Jimmy Meek (Kathy) of Reagan, Jerry Meek (Debra) of Reagan, and Sherry Meek of Jackson; 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren. .
She was preceded in death by 1 brother, Carron Grissom; 1 sister, Lorraine Austin; and 1 grandchild. .
Funeral services will be on Friday, August 15 at 1PM at Reed’s Chapel in Lexington with burial to follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 1PM-8PM and Friday from 9AM till service.
