Sentinel, The (Carlisle, PA) - Tuesday, August 14, 2007

Phyllis Witmer Boldosser 79, left us peacefully on Sunday, Aug. 12, 2007, to be with the Lord in heaven and her long departed mother and father, Howard A. and Mable G. Livingston Witmer, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She enjoyed her job running a cash register at Kohl's Department Store in Mechanicsburg. Prior to her current employment, she sewed and sold her own appliqué sweatshirts at various craft shows throughout the Mid Atlantic region including the York Fair. She was also previously employed as the automotive manager at the Kmarts in York and Enola.

She enjoyed spending time brushing and spoiling her beloved Himalayan kitty "Cheyenne." She was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and kept detailed statistics of all of the games and players' averages, with her all-time favorite being Sid Bream. She also got pleasure going on all-day shopping excursions and weekend trips with her daughter. Taking care of her family throughout the years was the most important part of her life.

She is survived by a daughter, Patricia S. (and her husband, John) Weber of Carlisle. She was preceded in death by brothers, Creedon Witmer and Harold Witmer.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Geisinger Foundation for the House of Care, Geisinger Health System Foundation, 100 N. Academy Ave., Danville, PA, 17822-4000.

Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home and Crematory, Carlisle, is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
