Paul was born to Barney and Donna Grimm.

An old-time Sun-Maid raisin farmer of Fresno County, he also owned and operated Mid-Cal Butane Service.

He and his wife Genevieve were married 68 years.

Paul was the son of West Virginia farmers who emigrated to California in 1905; there were nine children of which Paul was the second youngest. He was the last remaining sibling of this large family, and has left behind many nieces and nephews.

Paul's wife Genevieve passed away on February 16, 2006. Paul and Genevieve are now reunited with their daughter Diana in Heaven, along with the larger assembled family of West Virginians and Californians.

Paul has very likely been reunited with a medium-sized pack of all the dogs that he adopted and lovingly cared for throughout his life.

Paul is survived by his daughter, Verna Steinhauer and her husband Bob; as well as his grandchildren and their spouses, Cheryl and Murphy Schroeder, Kevin and Lisa Anne Gandy, Lisa Gandy, and Erik and Annie Steinhauer. Paul is also survived by four wonderful great-grandchildren, Tony, Christina and Jennifer Schroeder and Ty Gandy.

A Graveside Service will be at Washington Colony Cemetery on Saturday, March 25, 2006, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a Celebration of their Lives at the United Presbyterian Church in Easton at 12:00 p.m.

Lunch will be provided following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Presbyterian Church, 5895 Elm Avenue, Fresno, CA 93706.
