SIAS- Kenneth Darrell Adkins, 50, of Sias died July 16, 1996, in St Mary's Hospital, Huntington, after a long illness. He was a Welder with ACF Industries Inc., Huntington, and a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.
Surviving are his wife, Ida Mae Linville Adkins; daughter, Lt. J.G. April Adkins, U.S. Navy, of Virginia Beach; son Bill of Huntington; foster son Cpl. Jimmy Stratton of New River, N.C.; sisters, Freda Adkins and Delores Adkins, both of East Liverpool, Ohio; brothers, Harold, Ralph and Robert, all of Sias, Donald of Hamlin, Jimmy of East Liverpool; one foster granddaughter.
Services were held Friday at Bethel Baptist Church, Sias, with the Rev. Tom Cooper and the Rev K.D. Bragg officiating. Burial was in Goldsbury Cemetery, Sias. Koontz Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
