Inscription

John's stated middle initial of S, on his footstone, was thought to have been for Sutton based on a DAR record. Documents have proven Sutton was not his middle name, if he had one, it is unknown. Sutton was the maiden name of the mother of John Allison's first wife, Mary Elizabeth Wakefield and thus they gave Sutton as the middle name of their son, George Sutton Allison.
