"Services are Held for Mrs. Bessie Payne
Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. Bessie Henderson Payne, 59, of 720 Winter street, Wooster, who died Saturday evening in Wooster Community Hospital, where she was a admitted on Wednesday after a year's illness.

The services were conducted at the McIntire Funeral Home by Rev. Stanley Mullen, pastor of the Methodist Church of which she was a member with Rev. William L. Fischer assisting. Burial was in the mausoleum in the Wooster Cemetery.

Mrs. Payne was born June 3, 1900 at Barberton to Charles and Minnie Witwer Henderson, and lived in Orrville from the time she was two years of age until she was married to Hubert Payne and moved to Wooster. She was employed at Perilstein's store before her marriage.

She is survived by her husband, Hubert; her mother, Mrs. Minnie Henderson, of Orrville; three daughters, Mrs. Jack (Janice) Conn, Mrs. Richard (Cynthia) Armstrong, both of Wooster, and Sheryl Gay, at home; and two grandchildren."
