CAVALIERI, George E. Age 80, of Hamilton, OH, passed away, Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Hospice of Hamilton. He was born in Hamilton on July 2, 1934 to Guy and Julia (Bokeno) Cavalieri. George graduated from Hamilton Catholic in 1952 and served in the US Army from 1955 to 1957. On June 29, 1957, he married Alice Razinha in St. Ann's Catholic Church in Hamilton. George retired from the City of Hamilton Public Utilities Dept in 1990, after 33 years of service. George's greatest joy was his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved spending time with them and enjoyed attending their sporting and school events. George was a lifelong member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Hamilton. He liked fishing and rabbit hunting. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Alice (Razinha) Cavalieri, four daughters; Cheryl Cavalieri, Susan (Dave) Alatorre, Pam (Jeff) Oehler, and Donna Plogman. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; Matt Alatorre, Chris Plogman, Megan Plogman, Maria (Matt) Taylor, Michelle Alatorre, Michael Oehler (and fiancée, Erin Mincey,) Andrew Plogman and also three great grandchildren: Alivia Bolo, Tyler Alatorre, and Carter Plogman. He is also survived by his sister, Betty (Cavalieri) McGill and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Mark Alan Cavalieri, his parents, Guy and Julia (Bokeno) Cavalieri, brother, John Cavalieri, sisters: Lucille Dynes, Adele Blake, Catherine Girolami, Lillian O'Neil, and Mary Miller. Visitation will be Friday, August 8, 2014, from 5:00 - 8:00pm at Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, OH 45013. Prayers at the funeral home 9:30am, Saturday, August 9, 2014. Mass at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Hamilton at 10:30am with Fr. Larry Tharp, officiating. Burial to follow at St. Stephen's Cemetery in Hamilton, OH. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Ann's Catholic Church, Hamilton.
