Racing driver. Born in Milan, Italy, Paletti drove for the uncompetitive Osella team during 1982. At the start of the Canadian Grand Prix on Montreal, Didier Pironi stalled his Ferrari on the grid. Paletti, starting from the back of the grid, could not avoid driving into the back of the stationary Ferrari at 100mph, and later died from severe chest injuries.
