Mrs. Johanna Pfannenstiel, 81, 406 West 16th, died Wednesday shortly before midnight at St. Anthony Hospital where she had been a patient for 7 1/2 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ludwig in 1960 and a daughter, Mrs. Regina Ray in 1959.

Mrs. Pfannenstiel is survived by five sons, Alexander of Denver, Theodore of Plainville, Edward T. of Wichita and Julius and Francis of Hays; three daughters, Sister M. Audrey, C.S.A. of fond du Lac, Wisc., Mrs. Eleanor Binder and Mrs. Mildred Walters of Hays; a brother, Jerome Dreher of Hays; one sister, Mrs. Rosie Bieker of Brighton, Colo. She also leaves 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state at Brock's North Hill Chapel from 7 tonight until service time.
