Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 4, 2014, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Rev. Barry Baugh officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, August 3, 2014, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Smith Chapel Cemetery near Marshall. Born October 31, 1932, in Saline County, MO, she was the daughter of the late George M. Patterson, Jr. and Mary Viola Steel Patterson. She was a Saline County resident, a 1950 graduate of Marshall High School and a graduate of Central Missouri State College in Warrensburg. On December 22, 1961, she married Marion O. Arni who survives of the home. She taught school for 30 years and was a member of MSTA, Marshall Retired Teachers Association and Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority. She was a lifelong member of Smith Chapel United Methodist Church where she held numerous positions within the church.
In addition to her husband, Marion, Dee Dee is survived by one daughter, Tina Baugh and husband Barry of rural Marshall; one son, Rick Arni and wife Karen of Marshall; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, George Ann Eaks of Overland Park, KS and Joy Patterson of Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Dee Dee was preceded in death by one sister, Judy Patterson.
