Services were held for Joe Brown on Monday, Aug. 16, at the First Assembly of God Church of Chandler with the Rev. Doyle Seeley officiating. Burial followed at Star Valley Cemetery under the direction of the Parks Funeral Home in Chandler.
Brown died Thursday, August 12, 1999, in Oklahoma City. He was 79. He was born Sept. 7, 1919, in Warwick where he had lived all his life. During his active years, he was a mechanic and welder. Joe and Louvella Bone were married on Nov. 4, 1939 in Wellston.
Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother, and a sister.
Survivors include his wife, Louvella Brown, of the home; one son, Larry Brown of Haltom City, Texas; a daughter, Uybonna Jo Adams of Chandler; two brothers, Abe Brown of Jay and Gary Brown of Nacoma Park; a sister, Myrtle Patton of Midwest City; and other relatives and friends.
