Raymond Cox Sr., 86, of 2816 N. 74th St., Kansas City, Kan., died Tuesday at Bethany Medical Center. He was born in Seneca, Kan., and had lived in this area 75 years. Mr. Cox was a truck driver for the Helmers Furniture Manufacturing Co. for 50 years before he retired in 1962. He was a member of the Stony Point Baptist Church. He leaves a son, Raymond Cox Jr., Kansas City, Kan.; two daughters, Mrs. Eva Charboneau of the home and Mrs. Georgia Garrett, Kansas City, Kan.; two sisters, Mrs. Amy Massey, Kansas City, Kan., and Mrs. Ada Spiedel, Honolulu; 11 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Porter Chapel; burial in the Bethel Cemetery, Kansas City, Kan. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the chapel.
