Mrs. Norma Ree Joyce Hamilton, age 83, of the Kibbee Community, died Thursday, July 31, 2014 in the Bethany Nursing Center in Vidalia after a brief illness.
She was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County, was a homemaker, and a member of the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.
She was always very proud of the fact that she was one of the first women to serve on a jury in Montgomery County.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A.L. Hamilton; parents, Henry and Sophie Palmer Joyce; and siblings, Vivian Brantley, Herman Joyce, Raymond Joyce, Eugene Joyce, Evelyn Wooten, Emma Pollett, and Walter Joyce.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 2nd at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Dr. Keith Tipton officiating.
Burial will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.
