Born March 12, 1905 he was the son of Friend R. and the late Dora Wright Cecil. He was a member of the proctor Christian Church and a retired employee of PPG Industries. Besides his father, his widow, Goldie Goddard Cecil; four sons, five daughters, four sisters, and fourteen grandchildren survive him. Services were held at the Iams Funeral Home Wednesday at 2 p.m. with W. J. Sliter officiating. Burial following in Northview Cemetery.
