Major League Baseball Player. He was a right-handed pitcher who made his debut for the Boston Red Sox on April 20, 1914. For three seasons, he played with the Red Sox (1914), Chicago Chi-Feds (1915) and St. Louis Cardinals (1918). He ended his career with a record of 22 wins, 30 loss, 31 complete games, 6 shutouts, 2 saves, 169 strikeouts and 2.92 earned run average. His son Adam was also a pitcher for the Philadelphia Athletics in 1941.
