He was born March 4, 1923, in Decatur to Ernest and Esther Kidd Armstrong.
Surviving are one brother, John C. Armstrong of Peoria; and one sister, Betty L. Payne of Punta Gorda, Fla. He was preceded in death by one sister.
He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.
Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
