Penn Yan - Mrs. Hannah H. Boies, 87, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Herbert Comstock of 124 Burns terrace, Penn Yan, on Tuesday Oct. 23, 1956.
Born in Livingston county, May 11 1869, Mrs. Boies was the daughter of William and Nancy Spencer Brewer. She was the widow of Wesley Boies and had lived for most of her lifetime in Livingston county, coming to Penn Yan about 15 years ago.
Mrs. Boies was a member of the Springwater Methodist church and of the WCTU. Besides her daughter, she leaves two grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Thayer Funeral Chapel on Wednesday and Thursday. Funeral service will be held at the Springwater Methodist church Friday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Sheldon Stephenson, pastor of the Penn Yan Methodist church, officiating, assisted by the Rev. William Cooper, pastor of the Springwater Methodist church.
Burial will be in the Evergreen cemetery, Springwater. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers friends who wihs may contribute to the Wesley Boies Sunday school class in the Springwater Methodist church.
