Elizabeth Brewer, wife of Nathan K. Marvin died at her home in this place at 11 o'clock Sunday evening, May 21, 1905 after a brief illness of only five days, aged nearly 32 years. Besides her husband she leaves an infant daughter of only a few days, an aged mother and three sisters, Mrs. Wesley W. Boise, Mrs. Dr. A. B. Becker, Mrs. Albert W. Howe and one brother, Henry S. Brewer, all of this town.

Her illness being of a serious nature Dr. Colton, her brother-in-law of Buffalo was summoned as council with the attending physician, Dr Knickerbocker of this place, and all was done that skill could suggest, and slight hopes of recovery were entertained until 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon when suddenly she began to sink and the vital spark grew fainter and fainter until it was no more.

Mrs. Marvin was highly esteemed in this community where she had lived since her birth and will be greatly missed, not only by the members of the family, but by all who knew her. She was almost a lifelong member of the Presbyterian church in this place and ever a faithful christian. Her last words to her friends as they stood around her on Sunday afternoon, were : "Tell everybody I love them. Good bye !"

The funeral services will be held at the residence on Wednesday at 1 o'clock p. m., Rev. Thomas Melvin of Marion, N. Y., is expected to officiate. Interment will be in Mount Vernon Evergreen cemetery.
