Harold L. Hudson, 84, of New London, Missouri, died at 8:36 PM Monday, July 28, 2014 at his home.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, August 1, 2014 at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Father Mike Quinn will officiate. Burial with full Military Honors will be at Barkley Cemetery in New London, MO.

Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday with Rosary at 5:30 PM at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.

Mr. Hudson was born October 16, 1929, in Palmyra, MO to Everett Cleveland and Anna M. Shear Hudson.

He was married to Martha J. Dotson on July 15, 1950 in Hannibal, MO. She survives.

Other survivors include 2 children, Dennis H. Hudson (Janet K.) of New London, MO, Dale L. Hudson (Tammy L.) of New London, MO, 5 brothers, Kenneth Hudson, Clarence Hudson (Virginia), Herman Hudson (Martha), Gilbert Hudson, Ted Hudson (Theresa), 2 Sisters, Alma Johnston (Howard) and Marie Thorington (Jim), 2 sisters in law; Ruth Hudson and Janette Hudson,6 Grandchildren, Adam D. Hudson, Angie Cook, Jacob Hudson, Ashley Hudson, Kachina Hudson, and Chance Hudson, 9 Great-Grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his brothers and sisters; Paul E. Hudson, Arthur L. Hudson, Urban Hudson, Margaret Hamilton, an infant sister; Loretta and another infant sibling.

Mr. Hudson was a United States Air Force Veteran. He served his country during the Korean Conflict. Harold worked on strategic bases in New Mexico and Thule, Greenland. He was a life long farmer and worked at Atlantic Steel for over 20 years. Harold was a family man who loved spending time watching his grandchildren's sporting events. He was an avid coon and fox hunter since he was 10 years. old. Mr. Hudson liked hunting and fishing and had some awesome hunting hounds. Mr. Hudson was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or Community Loving Care Hospice in care of the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Adam Hudson, Jacob Hudson, Chance Hudson, Jason Cook, Jeremy Link, and Chad Kistler.
