Services for Helen Saunders were held Monday, February 24, 1992 at White Oak Pond Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Gil Grounds officiating. Music was by Rusty Shadel, soloist, and June Appling, organist. Selections were "In the Garden" and "Amazing Grace." Burial was in the White Oak Pond Cemetery. Serving as escorts were Glen Coffman, David Wood, Deibert Jones, Bob Lewis, Kenneth Ferguson and Jim Renner. Honorary escorts were Miles Appling and Tom Barrett. Services were under the direction of Colonial Funeral Chapels.

Helen Saunders, daughter of David Campbell Milstead and Zella Starnes Milstead, was born in Humphries, Missouri on January 20,1908 and departed this life February 21, 1992 in Lebanon, Missouri.

On November 22,1929, she was united in marriage with Thomas D. Saunders, and to this union one son was born, who survives.

Helen and her family have made Lebanon their home for many years. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and special friend to many.

She is survived by her husband Thomas of the home; her son, Tom II, and his wife, Shirley of Conway; four granddaughters, Susan Jackson, Sharon Klobnak, Tomi Saunders, Trish Kugle; and two great-grandsons, John Wesley Jackson and Christopher Gavin Jackson; several nieces and nephews; as well as other relatives and friends.
Those preceding her in death include her parents, four sisters and three brothers.
