John Raymond Steward, 84, of Terre Haute, died Saturday, July 19, 2014. He was born on May 19, 1930, in Terre Haute, to Bleauford and Mary (Reeds) Steward. John had retired from Shanks Motors. He was a member of the Wabash Valley Scottish Society and Prairie Park Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Evelyn Coakley, Jean Reece, niece Connie Gill Frost, and his wife Mary Gill Steward.
Surviving are his daughters: Bonnie and Karen; granddaughters, Amy, Lori and Brandy; four great-grandchildren, family and many dear friends.
Visitation will be held from 1 until 2 on Saturday, July 26 at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home. Services will held at 2 p.m., on Saturday, at the funeral home with Pastor Allen McQueen officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.
