Stuart Wayne Hutto passed away on July 4, 2014 in Round Rock Texas after a lifelong battle with ostogenesis imperfecta.

He was the first baby born in Baptist Hospital of Beaumont Texas on October 17, 1941 to James Bruce Hutto and Geraldine Hackney Hutto who have proceded him in death.

He attended Beaumont High School and Lamar University. Under the direction of Jimmy Simmons he developed a love for music that became his life. His instrument of choice was the French Horn.

He married Carol Platt and they both went to Germany and played in the Munich Symphony and from there in the Pretoria Symphony in South Africa. He also was a member in the Mexico City Symphony. The last 30 years of his music career was spent with the Austin Symphony, Austin Civic Opera and River Bend Brass Quintett. During those years he taught private lessons and was a band director at C.D. Fulks and Cedar Valley Middle Schools in Round Rock Texas.

When the bone disease would not allow him to continue playing the French Horn, he became a Chaplain performing numerous weddings and helping people work through the trials of their lives.

He is survived by his sister Christy Hutto Weed and her husband Alvie Weed of Georgetown Texas, his son Jason Ayres and his wife Jennifer Ayres, grandaughters Naya and Nora of Sugar Land Texas.
