OGDEN – Della Gilbert Carter, 86, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2005.
Della was born on November 11, 1918 a daughter to Leon & Rosetta Gilbert in Yost, Utah. Della was married on July 31, 1937 to Simeon Dale Carter, they were later sealed in the Logan Temple on June 27, 1955. She was a member of the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. She had many callings which included Relief Society and Sunday School Teacher. She was a waitress for many years and retired from Maddox at age 70 after 25 years.
She is survived by Janet Walker, Leonard (Susan) Carter, Lynn (Joan) Carter, 17 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great grandchildren. Surviving brothers and sisters, Reva Roche, Arnold (Janet) Gilbert, Veron (Virginia) Gilbert, Glenna (Max) Grunig, and one sister-in-law, Charlene Gilbert. She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, Ellen, 3 grandsons, Richard, Brian, Stephen, 2 sisters, and 4 brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 South 100 East, Brigham City, Utah. Friends may call on Monday, July 18, 2005 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at Myers Mortuary.
Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
