PYATT, Matilda - Mrs. Matilda Pyatt, 94 years of age and a pioneer resident of Washington county, died at her home at Elm Springs Sunday. Death resulted from old age. Funeral services were held Monday by the Rev. Y.A. Gilmore, pastor of the M.E. church, South of Gravette and burial was in Elm Springs cemetery. Mrs. Pyatt is survived by a son, James, of Oklahoma and three daughters, Mrs. John Sherman, Mrs. Martha Sherman and Miss Sue Pyatt, all of Elm Springs. Three of her grandsons are ministers of the M.E. church, South in Arkansas, the Rev. Jefferson Sherman, pastor of the church at Bentonville, Rev. Charles Sherman, pastor of the church at Pottsville and Rev. William Sherman, presiding elder of the Ft. Smith district.
