Beeler, James H. - age 80 of Corryton, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2012 at home. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church and a former member of Union Baptist Church. He was a former National Deaf Football "Player of the Year" and graduated at Tennessee School for the Deaf - Knoxville, TN. in 1953. He loved his grandchildren, UT sports, and being with his family. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Evelyn Beeler; son, Steve Beeler; former daughter in law, Lynn Sexton; grandson, Stephen Beeler; granddaughters, Michelle Beeler, Miranda Beeler, and Katie "Bug" Beeler; sister, Betty Winstead; sister-in-law, Dot Beeler; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet at Lynnhurst Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 16, 2012 for a graveside service. Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to the Knoxville Catholic High School Lady Irish Softball Team at 9245 Fox Lonas Road, Knoxville, TN. 37923, a team he took so much joy in watching.
