Joyce Margaret Scherr, 76, of Rio Rancho, NM, and formerly of TL passed away March 11, 2014.

A memorial mass was held Monday, March 17, 2014 at the Church of the Incarnation in Rio Rancho.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Sat, April 5, 2014 at Holy Cross in TL with inurnment in the TL Cemetery under the direction of Kesling FH.

Joyce was Born in TL on November 13, 1937 to Jacob and Margaret "Nettie" Myers Scherr.

Joyce attended country school until the 8th grade and graduated from TL High as valedictorian of the Class of 1955. She attended business school for 9 months, then went to work for the Dept of Health, Education, & Welfare. She began her career in Pierre and then moved to Chamberlain. She transferred to Albuquerque, NM, and then to Washington, D.C. where she retired after a 40 year career.

When she wasn't working, Joyce loved to travel, both in the US and abroad.

Joyce is survived by her five siblings: Mary Alice Salisbury of South Sioux City, NE; Joe and Jacob Scherr of Gillette, WY; Clara Ann Herman of TL; and Irvin Scherr of Sioux Falls.
