Junie Gross, 80, of Connersville went home to her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at home surrounded by her loving family. Her health had been deteriorating since suffering a ruptured aneurysm three weeks ago.

Born in Estill County, Ky., on June 4, 1926, she was the daughter of Mike and Lullie Dunn Lynch, both of whom preceded her in death.

She was married to Ernest Gross on March 10, 1942. Mr. Gross died on June 26, 1992. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend who always had a smile on her face, a listening ear and a warm heart. She was specially fond of her Sunday morning breakfasts surrounded by her family.

She enjoyed working in her yard and anything to do with her family and going to her church. She was a member of the Full Gospel Holiness Church for more than 50 years. She retired from Ford Electronics and Refrigeration after 26 years in 1988.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Jack Burgdoerfer; a son, Bob Groce; a daughter-in-law, Jenny Groce; grandchildren, Tim Groce, Rick and Cathy Burgdoerfer, Jacob Groce and Amanda and Steve Gilley; great-grandchildren, Mandy Groce, Blake, Brandon, Lauryn and Bo Burgdoerfer, Hailee and Hannah Groce, Tanner Groce-Gilley, Kristin and Jacob Gilley, and a special little girl, Kourtnee Foster, all of Connersville; a sister, Mabel Lee of North Vernon, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, William McKinley Groce; a granddaughter, Lisa Gail Seeley; three brothers, Lesley Begley, Ed Begley and Mitchell Lynch; and three sisters, Jessie Ashcraft, Lillie Mae Dunn and Rosie Bell Fike .

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Urban-Winkler Funeral Home with the Rev. James C. Parrett officiating. Burial will be in Laurel North Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m.
